英美2014-2015年服装设计院校选校指南：

USA-UK Fashion Design and the Related Program

第一：专业介绍

与fashion有关的专业，主要有以下几类：

1. 服装设计Fashion Design: 女装Womenswear，男装Menwear，内衣Contour Fashion，针织衣，运动衣Sportswear等

2. 配饰设计Accessaries Design：鞋子等

3. 珠宝设计Jewelry Design：整合珠宝和金属加工

4. 纺织品设计Textile Design

总结：目前，在以上4类专业中，以fashion design 和珠宝设计申请人数最多，竞争最激烈。大部分还是学习总的fashion design比较多，纯粹性学习小分支的很少。

申请学位选择建议：

本科：适用于任何人群，只要是想学，要学，旨在从事服装设计领域工作的都OK。所有服装设计需要的技能和专业课程全部在本科都已经完成，学生毕业后即可在大品牌公司工作，或者成为独立设计师，开个人工作室，从事设计，高级定制或者时尚管理投资的工作都可以。

所以，高中未有任何艺术功底的学生，只要有创意和对服装设计的热爱，再经过我们导师的辅导，一定会实现去服装设计名校的梦想。

研究生：针对已在服装领域有一定的造诣，要在学术领域发展的人去申请。硕士项目旨在将服装设计与社会发展，艺术史研究，艺术教学等学科做整合。项目名称主要如下：

MA Fashion Studies; MA Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory,Museum Practice;

Parsons: MFA Fashion Design and Society, 以及管理学硕士的Design Management, Fashion Management.

AAS：

1. 讲解：AAS是副学士学位，两年制项目，全称为Applied Associate Degree。这绝对不等同于国内的专科证书文凭，也只有parsons和FIT这两所学校有。

2. 内容：AAS专业性极强，学习内容多样化，从面料，设计到成衣制作，都是以高端、前沿和专业为导向，特为培养想要短期内成为动手能力强的著名设计师量身定做。都是正统的parsons和FIT老师教学，与本科课程完全一致。在fashion行业，AAS也就等同于本科学位。

3. 申请：与本科申请一致，也需要提交语言和作品集。从招生背景来看，申请者必须具有本科或本科同等教育水平的人，或者高中毕业至少两年方可申请，绝对不是类似国内的大专是给一些考不上大学的高中生的。

第三：学校特点

RSID：偏学术和实验性，强调新型与环保材料设计。

SAIC：偏纯艺术和概念性。理论强，偏行为艺术而不是造型，实用型较弱。

Parsons:侧重个人风格和设计理念，商业潮流气息强。发展方向一般是高端定制，专业很强，手动&理论能力很强，职业培训目的性很明确。

FIT：境界高，教学注重思维。但是教学方式较传统。

Pratt:

总体上：西部院校偏传统，纽约偏商业和潮流。

作品集要求(以FIT, Parsons, CSM为例)

总体上来讲，作品集一定要体现出原创性，表明你熟练的技能和专业度，从灵感发觉到成衣制作的过程。要反馈出申请者对服装的认识，构想和概念以及原创性。

1. 本科：侧重创意和思维

2. 研究生：专业度和探究过程要深入，专业技术成熟。包含4-5个项目，其中1-2个基础，2-3个专业性，。

特定学校作品集要求：

1、FIT：

作品集包括设计实验，缝纫测试和一个书面的文章。创意，创造与设计美学是重点。

2、Parsons

Parsons本科作品集8-12张图片就好，不需要提交成衣，而是绘画，草图，Portfolios can include drawings, paintings, photographs, digitalmedia, design, three-dimensional work, web design, animation, video, and otherdigital media. Transfer applicants should submit a portfolio of 8–12 pieces intheir area of interest.

FIT：必须包含成衣制品。分三个项目，独立命题。

3、CSM

本科：简单来说就是从最初的灵感来源，设计图，效果图，立裁的内容，面料相关的调研内容，以及最后的成衣所有的这些内容构成了一套CSM的作品集

你需要有大量的设计过程，实践过程体现在你的作品集里面

CSM: MA Fashion需要提交作品集，3月截止申请，作品集必须在20-50张之间，最少必须包含four projects 并且阐明具体的调研和设计过程，以及最后的成衣。

4、提交格式：

The portfolio may be submitted on a CD in single file PDF format. Ifyou would like to submit moving images such as installation, performance, orlive fashion show work, please submit on a DVD format preferably with a maximumtime of 5 minutes.
